AU Giving Day Challenge

The collective impact of AU Giving Day is transformative—every donor plays an important role in sustaining and strengthening AU. 

When we reach 3,000 donors, we’ll unlock a gift of $80,000 to the AU Fund for Excellence from the Banister Family. This gift is made possible through the generosity of Board of Trustee Member Gaurdie E. Banister Jr. P '17, Simin Ghodsi Banister P '17, and Julian Banister, KSB/BA '17.

          

AU Athletics Challenge

The Eagle's Leadership Council is sponsoring $25,000 in additional funding to the teams based on Giving Day participation, plus over $25,000 in additional matches and challenges available!

Challenge Amount: $50,000+

 

 

Young Alumni Challenge

Members of the New York and D.C. Young Alumni Chapters face off to see which chapters will win bragging rights and AU swag by leading with the most donors this Giving Day.

 

School of Public Affairs Dean's Fund Match

All gifts to the SPA Dean's Fund will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $27,000, by the SPA Board of Advisors. 

Match Amount: $27,000

School of International Service Challenge

When we reach 100 donors to the School of International Service, we'll unlock a $5,000 gift to the SIS Dean's fund from Victor and Van Chen, P '28.

Challenge Amount: $5,000

College of Arts and Sciences Arts Management Match

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Arts Management program, Sally Gaskill, CAS/MA '84 will match all gifts to the CAS Arts Management Fund, up to a total of $25,000. 

Match Amount: $25,000

College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Fund Match

Through the generosity of an anonymous donor, all gifts to the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Fund will be matched, up to a total of $25,000.

Match Amount: $25,000

College of Arts and Sciences Faculty/Staff Challenge

When 25 faculty and staff contribute to the College of Arts and Sciences, we'll unlock $500 to the CAS Student Emergency Fund from Assistant Dean of Advancement, Mike Scott.

Washington College of Law Challenge

Help the Washington College of Law unlock over $20,000 in matches and challenges!

Challenge Amount: $20,000+

Gospel Choir Match

All gifts made to the Gospel Choir will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $1,000, from an anonymous donor.

Match Amount: $1,000

School of Public Affairs Bonus Challenge

In honor of reaching 90 donors, we've issued an additional challenge. If we reach 125 donors by 7 p.m. February 26 we'll unlock a $10,000 gift to the SPA Dean's Fund from Eric and Danielle P '28.

Challenge Amount: $10,000

Hillel Challenge

When 40 donors give to Hillel, we will unlock an $18,000 gift to American University Hillel from Rob and Lori, P’ 28.

Kogod School of Business Challenge

When we reach 45 donors to Kogod, we'll unlock a $10,000 gift to the Kogod Dean's Fund from Don and Dan, P ’28.

Challenge Amount: $10,000

School of Communication Match

All gifts to SOC will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $10,000, with a gift to the SOC Dean's Fund by Frank Benenati, SOC/BA ’05.

Match Amount: $10,000

School of Public Affairs Challenge

In honor of SPA's 90th birthday, when we reach 90 donors to the School of Public Affairs, we'll unlock a $25,000 gift to the SPA Dean's fund from SPA's Board of Advisors.

Challenge Amount: $25,000

AU Parent and Family Challenge

We'll unlock a gift of $20,000 to the Parent and Family Fund on behalf of the Parents Leadership Council if 350 parent or family donors give by 7 p.m. February 26.

Challenge Amount: $20,000

School of International Service Match

All gifts to the SIS Dean’s Fund will be matched dollar for dollar by Josh Pierry, SIS/BA '00 and Junko Pierry, SIS/BA '00, up to $10,000.
